Training and qualifications
At Space to Journey Counselling, I have a number of qualifications including, A Master’s Degree in Counselling, Adv Dip in Pastoral Counselling, Lifespan Integration Therapy training, Post Graduate Diploma in Education, Certificate in Counselling Skills. For your peace of mind I am also a member of the British Association of Counsellors and psychotherapists (M.B.A.C.P.) and the Association of Christian Counsellors (A.C.C.). I am a person centred and integrative counsellor, who deals with a whole range of emotional issues.
Experience
I have been counselling since 2004 and currently counsel clients through my private practice responding to people who contact me directly and through employment organisations, I work both from home and within a local counselling centre. Alongside my private practice I continue working in universities as a Mentor with undergraduate students who have additional health needs. I began working as a Counsellor in 2004 with a number of different Christian Counselling agencies and continue to gain experience with a wide range of client needs. I have also worked for five years as a counsellor within a woman’s aid organisation, seeing women with a range of issues including domestic violence, abuse, bereavement and loss, relationship issues, child concerns and aiding them with their growth and development. I have ten years experience of working with adult students who had learning difficulties and/or disabilities.

I highly value each individual and work in a person centred way, focusing on the individual's needs in a non-judgemental and confidential atmosphere. Through my listening, warmth and acceptance I enable exploration of each person's issues, through which individual's are helped to gain a greater understanding of them self and determine how they want to move forward. I work with clients both at home and in rented rooms within a counselling service.
