Background and Training
My decision to pursue a career in Clinical Psychology, begun at an early age, when I volunteered with young people with Learning Disabilities during my A-Levels. From this I have completed a range of qualifications in Psychology and am now a Chartered Clinical Psychologist. My enjoyment of working with people across the life-span has continued and I presently work in both the NHS and privately.
Employment History and Current Post
Since qualifying from my doctoral training I have worked in Children’s Services based in North Somerset. I really enjoy my varied work alongside children, families and professionals. I work with children with a range of difficulties including Learning Disabilities and Mental Health issues. I am constantly humbled by the ability of the children and families I work with to find solutions to their own difficulties. Alongside this direct work I can also run groups, support service development projects and supply training for teams and clients alike.
I have a private psychology company called Clarity Psychology with another Clinical Psychologist, with whom I came together under a shared value base. I am able to offer therapy, training & consultation and legal work. I am very lucky to be able to offer adult clients the therapeutic space of The Lido in Bristol, which is a beautiful city retreat offering an exceptional environment from which to broach psychological issues.
Fiona is able to draw upon a wide range of evidenced based psychological approaches and enjoys working with all ages from individuals, couples, families and organisations alike. Forming strong therapeutic relationships is at the heart of Fiona’s work, and she prides herself on being able to meet the unique needs of her clients in a style that suits them.

Everybody experiences difficult emotions at various times in their life. Sometimes it can be helpful to have space to think and talk about such emotions in a safe and relaxed setting.
Therapy provides a place to share thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a professional, who will listen carefully and support you in this process.
Clarity therapists use extensive knowledge of Psychological theory and evidence to develop a shared understanding of where difficult emotions come from, and ways in which you can overcome these.
