Personal Profile
Counsellor, life coach and complementary therapist adhering to National Occupational Standards and strict codes of ethics. I am dedicated to ongoing professional development at university level and receive peer supervision. As a mental health volunteer I receive additional vocational training, supervision and am enhance disclosure checked.
I have been a therapist since 2005, starting out with holistic healing training in crystal healing and Reiki, then adding meditation, self hypnosis and counselling training. Since then I have completed multiple externally accredited awards and am half way through a BSc in Psychology.
I specialise in female issues, stress management and moving on from offending and abuse. I work in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Work Approach
Holistic and complementary! I use life coaching, social psychology, counselling skills and empowerment through teaching my clients self help skills such as meditation, lifestyle coaching and CBT based self reflection.
A typical approach might be to use counselling and coaching skills with the client, and look at how their lifestyle and environment contribute to issues. I would also teach appropriate self help skills to enable positive change.
