Personal Profile

Personal Profile

Background and Training

I have been involved in working with people and their issues since 1992, including 12 years as a mediator and I am also a fully qualified practising Counsellor Psychotherapist.

I am a member of GHR (General Hypnotherapy Register) and BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and work to their ethical guidelines.

My Diploma (Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy, Psychology & Psychotherapy) was under awarding body of the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy.

I also hold the Advanced Certificate in Therapeutic Hypnosis (ABC Awards)

Areas of Work

this is not a comprehensive list, however I have worked with many clients on various issues including:-

regression eg where there has been a block in the memory

presentation nerves

weight management

smoking cessation

general anxiety

phobias

piritual confusion

confidence building

and motivation.

I offer clients an individual service and ensure that it is tailor made to their requirements ie clients may have different reasons for wanting to stop smoking or control their weight.  For this reason I see clients individually rather than group bookings.

The first session is ensuring I have the amount of information necessary and, time permitting, a short ‘taster’ session so that the client can become familiar with the process and working with me.  This means that the subsequent session is even more successful as the client can feel at ease.

I also offer a personalised CD if required.

Work Approach

My approach is a very flexible one – as I am qualified in both areas, it can happen that I am able to follow up the Hypnotherapy session with Counselling Psychotherapy if appropriate.  This arrangement can work well if the client wishes to do this.

I treat every client as an individual and use the appropriate approach/method of working with them.  I am happy to discuss any concerns by phone or email before clients come to see me if they wish.

If a client Wants, Wills and Expects Hypnotherapy to be successful then there is a very good chance of it happening.

My role is to guide them through the process to help them achieve their goal and be at peace with themselves.
