Therapy Network is Now Free!!
Membership of Therapy Network is now free of charge - forever.
After much thought, we have decided that membership of Therapy Network should be free to all. Existing members will not be billed at the end of their free trials, and new users will be able to join without charge and make full use of the site.
Why have we done this?
Therapy Network was always intended to be a public service. We want to provide accessible information about therapy services to the general public, and to allow therapists to communicate creatively and flexibly with each other.
Providing this service for free is the best way to develop the network and ensure that these aims are met. We want Therapy Network to be a vibrant collective, made special by the contributions of its members. To achieve this we need to build the membership, and what better way than to make it free.
So what's the catch?
We'd be asking that too! There is no catch. You will never be asked for money to pay for your membership. The full profile you create when you first join Therapy Network will be free for as long as the site exists, as will the article-writing facility in the Therapist Community.
How are we going to pay for the network?
We have a number of thoughts about this, which we will be sharing with you as time goes on. Rest assured that we are committed to delivering a high quality service whilst remaining as unobtrusive as possible to members of the network, so you won't see huge banner advertisements on your profile pages or anything like that. We'll keep you posted!
Where next?
It was always going to take time to build a substantial network, but we have made good progress in the first few months and will be looking to build further now that we have settled on our model. We will be re-advertising for members in the Spring, and new features will appear during the Summer.
In the meantime the single best way to grow the network and make it most useful to you is through your recommendations. When you log in to the site you will see a box on the right hand side of your own profile headed 'Invite Friends and Colleagues'. You can send email invitations to anyone you think may be interested in joining the site.
